We require an experienced electronics technician to join our small team of technicians based in the Physics Department electronics workshop facility.
ABOUT YOU
Working as part of the wider technical team you will
1. Be responsible for day-to-day electronics support in a teaching and research environment.
2. Have good communication skills, be able to plan your workload and have ability to work using your own initiative, often to short deadlines.
3. Have a proven track record in fault diagnosis, repairs, maintenance, servicing and modification of a wide range of specialised and sophisticated electronic/electrical equipment is essential.
4. Be competent in design, development using CAD software for circuit and PCB design and construction of specialised electronic circuitry using conventional through-hole and surface mount technology (SMT).
