What You Will Do
Ward 4B is an elective surgical with several specialties including General Surgery, ENT/MAX. Ward 4B have 10 x level 1 beds and 14 ward level beds. We use an enhanced recovery approach for all our pre and post op patients.
The DCN role will comprise of being accountable for safe and effective care provision within the surgical wards. The post holder will support the SCN to deliver safe and effective care whilst offering senior nursing support and supervision for our junior colleagues

Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required To Do The Job
* You must be a registered general nurse currently registered with the NMC UK
* You must be a registered general nurse educated to degree level equivalent. Supplemented by knowledge of surgical nursing with post graduate diploma level or equivalent experience.
* Initiate appropriate actions/interventions through assessing patients and analysing a range a clinical parameters, utilising complex clinical decision making skills;
