Were looking for a Reception Manager who leads with warmth, confidence, and care. Youll play a key role in shaping the Front Office team, setting the tone for every arrival and departure, and ensuring each guest experience feels personal, smooth, and memorable. This role will have a strong focus on the guest journey, with particular attention to personalised touches and delivering a seamless service from start to finish.
About You and The Role
As a Reception Manager at The Newman, you will:
Lead and support the Reception team, creating a calm, welcoming, and professional environment
Set the tone for exceptional guest experiences from arrival to departure
Take ownership of the full guest journey, ensuring every touchpoint feels seamless and considered
Place strong focus on VIP arrivals, preferences, and personalised service standards
Oversee the daily Front Office operation, ensuring check-ins and check-outs run smoothly
Support, coach, and develop the team through regular guidance and feedback
Work closely with Concierge, Housekeeping, Reservations, and the wider hotel team to ensure a seamless guest journey
Take ownership of guest feedback and resolve concerns with care and confidence
Oversee room allocations, daily planning, and operational flow alongside the Duty Managers
Ensure billing accuracy, pre-authorisations, and payment processes are followed correctly
Maintain high standards of presentation, organisation, and attention to detail at all times
Be flexible and available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
