Job Description:
Do you enjoy meeting people? Do you want a customer-facing role where every day is different? Performing various tasks, keeping people safe, and interacting with people from all walks of life? If so, and working on a critical service for the government appeals to you, then we may have the role you're looking for!
We are recruiting Security Professionals based on-site at His Majesty’s Court & Tribunal Service buildings. No prior experience is required as full training will be provided. You need a positive customer service approach. Our Relief Security Officers provide flexible cover and are an asset to our teams. You will be assigned a region and may need to cover different courts within it to cover absence, holiday, etc.
What does a typical day look like? This is not an average security job; each day within the Court & Tribunals service offers something new. You will ensure a safe environment for this essential national service and become a vital part of the justice system. You will find fulfillment in protecting society and vulnerable people during challenging times.
Your day will include providing excellent customer service, greeting all court users, patrolling, and securing the building. If this sounds appealing and you'd like to learn more about this unique role in a prestigious location, please apply.
You will work Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with flexible and part-time options if needed. No weekend or night shifts, but overtime may be available on Saturdays, Sundays, and bank holidays. Weekend hours are paid at 1.5x for Saturdays and 2x for Sundays, with weekday overtime outside normal hours also at 1.5x.
Guaranteed 40 hours weekly, with a £1 per hour attendance allowance. Pay rate will increase in April 2024 to £11.67/hour plus attendance allowance. To succeed, you need:
* Strong people and customer service skills
* An SIA licence
* Effective communication skills
* A drive to succeed as part of a team
* Flexibility to cover various sites in your region
We value diversity and encourage applications from all backgrounds to foster a creative and productive environment.
What is in it for you?
* Working within a values-driven team
* 22 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays
* Company sick pay
* Pension scheme access
* High street discounts and low-interest loans
* Recognition through the ‘OCS Stars’ scheme
* Training and development including apprenticeships and e-learning
* Cycle to work scheme
* Employee Assistance Programme for wellbeing support
