Accounts Administrator (with some Credit Control)

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 9.00am – 5:00pm, Fri 9.00am - 4.00pm

About Us
Gen-Fab Ltd is a growing and ambitious business, and we're looking for a reliable and organised Accounts Administrator to support our day-to-day finance operations.
This is a varied, hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership of their work, keeping things organised, and supporting the smooth running of the accounts function. You'll also assist with a small amount of credit control to help maintain healthy cash flow.
The Role
You'll play an important part in keeping our accounts processes accurate and up to date. Responsibilities include:
* Processing purchase invoices and maintaining the purchase ledger
* Raising sales invoices and maintaining the sales ledger
* Bank reconciliations
* Preparing and processing payments
* Assisting with month-end procedures
* Supporting VAT returns preparation
* Managing and monitoring customer accounts
* Carrying out credit control activities including chasing overdue payments
* Handling general accounts administration and filing
This is an office-based role working closely with the Directors.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
* Has previous experience in an accounts or finance administration role
* Has experience with sales and purchase ledger duties
* Is confident carrying out credit control and chasing outstanding payments
* Has good working knowledge of Excel and accounting software
* Is highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Can manage their workload and meet deadlines
* Is professional and confident when communicating with customers
AAT qualification (or working towards) would be beneficial but is not essential.
