As a member of the team, you will work alongside experienced Backbone, Data Center, Production Engineers (Network) on a large-scale global network.This will be your network and it is constantly growing. Your primary function will be to ensure that the network and its related services are reliable, robust and can scale to meet the challenges that serving over a billion users presents. Then this is the role for you!ResponsibilitiesManage and maintain multi-vendor, multi-protocol datacenter and backbone networksDefine, and develop optimized network monitoring and automation systemsPartner alongside the best engineers in the industry on the coolest stuff around, the code and systems you work on will be in production and used to support billions of users all around the worldMinimum QualificationsCurrently has, or in the process of obtaining, a BachelorMasterPhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical disciplineExperience with computer networksExperience in UNIX, TCP\/IP, network fundamentals, or similarExperience coding in at least one language (Python and C++ are all in heavy use)Ability to learn new concepts around network design and managementMust obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employmentPreferred QualificationsKnowledge of routing protocols such as BGP, and ISISIntent to return to full-time degree program after completion of the internshipExperience working cross-functionallyAbout MetaMeta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
