Description
As a Senior Training & Competence Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering all T&C activity in line with Progeny’s T&C Scheme. Reporting to the Head of Advice Quality, you will ensure sufficient evidence of training, competence and conduct for all relevant staff is in place and regularly monitored.
This role can be either home-based or hybrid in Leeds, London, Edinburgh, Worthing, or Nottingham.
Key Responsibilities
* Support through line management the development of Progeny’s T&C Supervisors, focusing on coaching, assessment and feedback delivery. Provide mentorship support around exam completion.
* Support the evolution of Progeny’s T&C and Advice Quality function, owning and delivering to the change agenda and striving towards delivering market-leading development and support for Planners.
* Ensure Planners are provided with proactive and effective training support to enable them to comply with the requirements and competencies needed for their role.
* Provide oversight of adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policy and process.
* Establish personalised, structured learning and development plans to meet all required competencies as detailed within the T&C Scheme.
* Complete regular 121 meetings and meeting observations with Financial Planners in line with the T&C Scheme and supervision levels.
* Drive improvements in performance by utilising file check results, ensuring remedial action is completed in a timely, and development plans are in place for all Planners.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Holds as a minimum the Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning or Regulated Financial Planning. (Chartered status preferred).
* Holds, or is prepared to work towards, a recognised industry supervision qualification, such as J07.
* Holds CeMAP or equivalent and prepared to work towards ER1 if not already held.
* Training and Competence Management or Supervisory experience.
* Extensive experience in driving performance through coaching and feedback delivery.
* A detailed understanding and knowledge of regulatory rules relating to the financial services sector.
* Working knowledge of FCA High-Level Standards, including TC, COCON, SYSC, COBs and FIT.
