What the Job Involves The role involves undertaking legal work for the Council’s functions related to contracts, procurement, and economic regeneration. You will manage a substantial personal caseload, including advising, drafting, negotiating, and agreeing on complex documentation for contracts and transactions. Supervising a Contracts Lawyer and collaborating with the Chief Contracts Lawyer, you will play a pivotal role in the development of procedures and systems for an effective legal contract service. You will ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and policy standards, work flexibly within the team, and proactively contribute to the council's objectives.
