An exciting opportunity has arisen within Enfield Community Services. We are setting up a new occupational therapy service across Enfield to provide tailored treatment to residents. This is your chance to advance your career!
The Occupational Therapist will work across core community teams, conducting assessments, planning and implementing interventions, evaluating treatments, and ensuring safe discharges. The post involves managing a caseload, providing both specialist assessments and a strengths-based, recovery-focused approach aimed at enhancing daily living skills and engagement in meaningful activities for service users.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Carrying a caseload with clinical responsibility, supported by multidisciplinary teams.
2. Using evidence-based assessments to establish client needs, goals, and treatment plans.
3. Conducting standardized assessments such as MOHOST, MOHO assessments, and Sensory Profile.
4. Providing individual and group interventions, adapting sessions to promote full occupational participation.
5. Participating in multidisciplinary meetings to coordinate care.
6. Contributing to risk assessments and developing group programs.
This role requires knowledge of the Mental Health Act and experience working with complex needs, including dual diagnosis and coexisting physical health conditions. The post involves working closely with the Lead OT and community teams to embed rehabilitation principles and support service users' return to or adjustment to community living, aiming to prevent hospital admissions.
