Job Title: Industrial Disease Solicitor
Location: Berkshire (Hybrid)
About the Role:
On behalf of our respected client - a well-established law firm with a strong reputation in claimant work - we are seeking an Industrial Disease Solicitor to join their specialist team. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated legal professional with solid experience in Industrial Disease claims to take the next step in their career within a supportive and reputable practice.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage your own caseload of moderate value Industrial Disease claims, acting for claimants and providing a first-class client service.
* Support senior solicitors and partners on complex, high-value cases.
* Investigate and apply medical evidence within the context of Industrial Disease matters to achieve the best outcomes for clients.
* Ensure compliance with procedural and funding guidelines while delivering high-quality, profitable work.
* Develop sound financial management of files, including WIP, disbursements, billing, and profitability targets.
* Ensure adherence to all regulatory and compliance requirements.
* Undertake any other relevant duties as required by management.
About You:
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
* A current, valid Practising Certificate with no restrictions.
* 1-3 years' post-qualification experience managing a claimant caseload in Industrial Disease.
* Experience in asbestos-related disease (including mesothelioma), NIHL, and HAVS claims is highly desirable.
* A strong academic record and a good understanding of litigation processes.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client care skills.
* Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to exercise initiative.
* High standards of professionalism, empathy, and confidentiality.
* Sound business awareness and commitment to meeting targets and deadlines.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and solicitors' case management systems (Partner for Windows is an advantage).
Hours:
35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
