This Consultant Psychiatrist role offers the chance to lead care within a well-established multidisciplinary team delivering rehabilitation and acute psychiatric support. In this Consultant Psychiatrist position, you will act as Responsible Clinician within a therapeutic service focused on recovery, positive behavioural support, and empowering individuals to rebuild independence. This role may also appeal to a Forensic Psychiatrist or General Adult Psychiatrist seeking a leadership position in inpatient mental health. Key Responsibilities Act as Responsible Clinician for patients detained under the Mental Health Act within an inpatient service. Provide clinical leadership within multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews and treatment planning. Contribute psychiatric expertise to assessment, formulation and therapeutic interventions. Support service development through governance participation, training and supervision of junior medical staff. About You Medically qualified with MRC Psych (or equivalent) and GMC registration. CCT in General Adult Psychiatry or Forensic Psychiatry. Experience working as a Consultant Psychiatrist within inpatient mental health services.
