Job Description: Bar Manager / Bartender at Silverstone
Silverstone is seeking a highly motivated Bar Manager/Bartender skilled in detail-oriented service, member recognition, POS systems operation, tending bar, and ongoing staff training. The Bar Manager must be visible at appropriate times, ensuring a management presence to guarantee member and guest satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will develop and achieve goals, display a positive attitude, and promote teamwork. They should have a competent knowledge of various Bar projects and the ability to introduce new ideas to enhance the events and target the right audiences.

Key Responsibilities
1. Validate sales contracts against procedures.
2. Conduct stock-takes and manage orders.
3. Handle deliveries and maintain stock condition.
4. Enforce health and safety rules.
5. Address customer issues.
6. Act as the client liaison for all events, managing accounts and ensuring adherence to briefs and budgets.
7. Organize and document all aspects of corporate event projects from handover to post-event evaluation.
8. Manage the Bar de rigueur and ensure the venue is returned to standard.
9. Support Senior Event Managers in planning and delivering large-scale events.
10. Identify and create new commercial opportunities to grow the business.
11. Record and communicate event information effectively.
12. Manage health and safety documentation where appropriate.
13. Oversee daily bar operations with the Corporate Event Supervisors.
14. Develop and improve in-house systems and processes.
15. Ensure event setups meet company standards.
16. Provide operational direction to catering staff, ensuring sufficient coverage.
17. Ensure compliance with food hygiene, allergen, safety, and licensing laws.
18. Attend planning meetings and briefings.
19. Support departmental initiatives as needed.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in hospitality or event environments.
* Experience managing medium to large-scale venues or corporate events.
* IOSH Managing Safely (preferred).
* Personal License Holder (preferred).
* Operational and commercial mindset with a hands-on approach.
* Proactive, self-motivated, and able to problem-solve.
* Team player with initiative.
* Passionate about customer care and service.
* Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
