The Aerodrome Operations Team: The Aerodrome Operations team is currently a team of five aviation professionals, who work shifts in both Aerodrome Ops and Air Traffic Control, using their knowledge and experience to support safe day to day fast jet operations, unusual requests and emergency situations across the aerodrome, in support of company and visitor flying operations. The AOSO is responsible to the Aerodrome Operations Lead, in support of the day-to-day Aerodrome Operations service provision, by working in Air Traffic Control as a Tower Assistant, as Runway Controller in the Runway Control Vehicle and as Aerodrome Operations Duty Officer. Additional activities include the discharge, management and delivery of Technical Safeguarding on behalf of the Flight Operations business. The incumbent is responsible for the day-to-day management and co-ordination of the Technical Safeguarding activities to ensure our service delivery capability is maintained. The role includes ensuring compliance with both internal policies & procedures and relevant statutory / regulatory requirements, to support the ongoing approval of our regulators. Why BAE Systems?
