We are looking for a Senior Creative Practitioner, a Creative Practitioner, and Cover Creative Practitioners for our new Artroom project in Elgin.
Positions & Rates
* Senior Creative Practitioner (SCP): £34,672 pro rata or £17.78 per hour – 10 hrs per week at trainee rate (£15.10) for six months, then 10 hrs at full SCP rate.
* Creative Practitioner (CP): £29,438 pro rata or £15.10 per hour – 6 hrs per week.
* Cover Creative Practitioners (CCP): £29,438 pro rata or £15.10 per hour – as required.
Project Overview
GHAT is an award‑winning charity dedicated to enriching the wellbeing of everyone who spends time in NHS Grampian and associated Health and Social Care facilities. Artroom is a person‑centred arts project delivered within a healthcare setting and the community. Artists work with patients in group settings or on a 1‑1 basis, using conversation and a range of art books and materials as a guide to begin supporting the participant’s creative journey. Visitors and families are encouraged to participate, often creating work together.
Training & Payment
For the first six months, both the SCP and CP will train with experienced artists from our existing Artroom projects. Successful candidates will be paid at the CP rate during the six‑month training and at their respective SCP/CP rate thereafter.
Requirements
* Based in Moray or the surrounding area; travel to work is the responsibility of the post holder.
* Must become a member of the PVG scheme before commencing work; membership will be paid as part of the training.
