Legal Administrator – Criminal Defence

About the Role
You’ll be working closely with the Director and wider team on serious criminal defence matters, with a particular focus on cases involving allegations of sexual offences and domestic violence. This is a hands-on role with immediate involvement in sensitive, high-profile, and rewarding work.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Supporting solicitors with case preparation, file management, and client liaison
2. Managing Legal Aid and private client matters
3. Drafting, reviewing, and organising legal documentation
4. Coordinating with barristers, experts, and external professionals
5. Ensuring clients feel supported and guided throughout the process
What They’re Looking For
6. Experience in criminal defence is highly desirable (legal aid, private client, or both)
7. Applications from Legal Administrators / Paralegals from other areas of law will also be considered
8. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
9. A client-first approach, with the ability to provide reassurance in sensitive situations
10. Please note: candidates with exclusive experience in driving offences will not be considered
