An exciting opportunity has arisen for a newly qualified or existing Band 5 physiotherapist to join our site-based Band 5 Rotation scheme at the Royal London Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust.
Rotation Scheme and Services
* Specialist Medicine (Cardiology, Respiratory, Renal, Infectious diseases, etc.)
* Acute Stroke Services
* Adult Intensive Care
* Neurotrauma (Neurosurgery/Neurology and Major trauma/Ortho-Plastics)
* Mixed Surgical specialities
* Paediatrics
* Musculoskeletal Outpatients (RLH Sports Therapy team and Mile End Hospital Community health referrals)
The post is full time and suitable for individuals who are passionate, enthusiastic, willing to learn, and team oriented. The therapy team values clinical and team development, educational programmes, research, and quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Member of the Respiratory On‑call rota (Adults/Paeds) and cover a weekend service.
* Deliver specialised physiotherapeutic interventions, including assessment and treatment, exercise programmes, advice, and emotional support to patients and carers in a wide variety of settings.
* Participate in the rotation scheme across the Royal London Hospital and Mile End Hospital.
* Contribute to evidence‑based practice and clinical effectiveness during each rotation.
* Participate in the emergency and on‑call rota (Adults/Paeds) across the Royal London Hospital site and, as required, across wider Barts Health sites.
Qualifications and Experience
* Qualified with a degree in Physiotherapy.
* Registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC).
* Desire to work in a diverse multicultural environment and develop experience across specialist physiotherapy areas.
* Strong assessment and treatment skills, and ability to deliver exercise programmes.
