About the role
We are seeking to appoint a Senior Engineer to play a key role in the delivery and continued growth of our business. This is a senior technical and leadership role for an experienced Senior Engineer who is either Chartered or approaching chartership, combining hands‑on engineering with project delivery, client engagement and team leadership.
Responsibilities
* Lead the design and delivery of infrastructure projects across the UK and Ireland.
* Act as Lead Engineer / Project Manager on small to medium‑sized projects, or lead significant work packages on larger schemes.
* Undertake, check and approve engineering design using Eurocodes and relevant UK standards.
* Oversee and review technical calculations, drawings, reports and specifications.
* Manage projects through planning and consenting, including statutory approvals where required.
* Lead engagement with public and private clients, local authorities, architects, developers and contractors.
* Manage programme, budget and resourcing to ensure efficient and profitable delivery.
* Lead project QA, health & safety and sustainability considerations.
* Mentor and develop junior engineers, supporting technical and professional progression.
* Contribute to winning work, fee proposals and early‑stage project development.
Qualifications
* Degree or higher in Civil, Structural Engineering.
* Typically 5+ years’ relevant experience in engineering consultancy or contracting.
* Chartered Engineer (CEng / MIEI / MIStructE or equivalent) or working towards chartership.
Required Skills
* Excellent capability across civil, structural or geotechnical design.
* Strong working knowledge of Eurocodes and UK standards.
