Our school serves 520 pupils, with 26.9% identified as SEND and a strong focus on equality, respect, and resilience We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team from November 2025. You will play a key role in supporting pupils with SEND, including those in our Launch Pad provision and those working significantly below their peers. Your work will help ensure high-quality provision, tailored support, and clear communication between school and home. The role will include: • Support pupils with SEND to access the curriculum and develop key skills • Work closely with teachers to implement targeted support plans and interventions • Foster positive relationships with pupils, promoting their confidence, independence, and resilience • Assist in monitoring pupil progress and contribute to clear communication with parents and carers • Support the delivery of high-quality provision in line with the school’s vision and values The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate: • NNEB/ NVQ 2 /BTEC or other relevant Level 3 childcare qualification essential • Experience working with children with SEND, ideally in a primary school setting • ASD experience and positive behaviour management expertise desirable • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards inclusion • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with staff and families • Basic knowledge of First Aid desirable • Willingness to develop skills and undertake relevant training, including SEND-specific approaches • Ability to work positively with parents, school nurses and other professionals to improve the support for pupils essential • Recent experience of working with children in a learning environment desirable • GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or equivalent) preferred, but commitment to professional development is valued We can offer: • A supportive and inclusive school community • Access to ongoing professional development and training, including instructional coaching aligned with our teaching matrix • staff that are passionate about enabling all pupils to achieve beyond expectation • Opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils with SEND • A school rated Good by Ofsted, with an Outstanding Early Years provision Closing Date: 3rd November 2025.
