An exciting opportunity has arisen at Trinity Farm, Cossall. As a popular daytime farm shop Café, we are now looking to expand our menu by offering an evening meal service.
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team to drive this side of the business forward, by creating and implementing a brand new evening menu along with maintaining the daytime running of the kitchen. The role is full time, covering Friday, Saturday & Sunday on a split shift basis, we can provide an area to recoup during your break time.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, with experience in a restaurant environment. As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in creating exceptional dishes while supervising kitchen staff and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety are maintained. Your leadership skills will be essential in fostering a collaborative and efficient kitchen atmosphere.
Responsibilities
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth food production and preparation processes.
* Create innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
* Supervise and train kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills.
* Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
* Collaborate with the management team to ensure that all dishes meet quality standards.
* Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
* Foster a positive team culture, encouraging collaboration and communication among kitchen staff.
Skills
* As head chef you must have excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive "can do" attitude.
* Proven experience in food production and preparation within a restaurant setting.
* Strong leadership abilities with experience in supervising kitchen teams.
* Excellent culinary skills with a passion for creating quality dishes.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong organisational skills, with attention to detail in food presentation and safety practices.
* Good communication skills to effectively manage team dynamics.
