Your new company Hays Engineering are currently recruiting for a Senior Design Engineer to join our clients team on a Full-Time, Permanent basis. To support the design and production of commercial vehicles. This is an excellent opportunity for someone currently in a lead design engineer role, looking to join a progressive and ambitious organisation Your new role Managing design projects from concept to completion, working first hand with customers to develop bespoke solutions to meet their needs Supporting and mentoring design team members with any queries or issues Analysing current design processes and procedures and implementing improvements Developing work instructions and operating procedures to support production processes Investigating Engineering problems and implementing solutions and corrective actions Encouraging continuous improvement culture, identifying potential improvements in design, processes and manufacturing techniques Ensuring all designs adhere to VCA standards Creating and managing BOMs, PDMs etc. What you'll need to succeed 5+ years experience within Design Engineering role Good communication and interpersonal skills Strong organisation and project management skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 3rd level qualification in an engineering related discipline Experience in using Solid Works Knowledge of VCA standards What you'll get in return Competitive Salary (£40,000 - £50,000) 30 Days holiday (rising to 33 after service) Health Cash Plan Life Assurance 3x Annual Salary Pension Potential option for a 4 Day working week What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
