Overview
Position: Support Worker
Salary: £ per hour rising to £ after probation and Care Certificate
Location: Stalbridge, Sherborne, Weymouth and Dorchester
Hours: Up to hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Closing Date: Ongoing
About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will provide high quality care and support, helping people to live independently and achieve meaningful outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Providing personal care and daily living support
2. Supporting with meal preparation and medication
3. Assisting individuals in the community
4. Building positive, trusting relationships
5. Working collaboratively within a care team
6. Recording and reporting changes in needs
7. Following safeguarding and confidentiality procedures
About You
8. Compassionate, patient and committed
9. Strong communication and teamwork skills
10. Flexible to work a rota including some weekends
11. Passionate about delivering person centred care
12. Previous experience helpful but not essential as training is provided
