An established engineering company in the water sector is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join its Electrical Engineering team. This is a permanent role based in Birmingham with a fixed hybrid schedule.
Role Purpose
Design, specify, and requisition electrical equipment in accordance with industry, client, and company standards for water and wastewater projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop electrical designs in line with British Standards, client specifications, and company standards.
* Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and requisitions for equipment, materials, and services.
* Monitor and coordinate sub-contractors for control systems, panels, and specialist electrical equipment.
* Conduct inspections, ex-works testing, and, if required, site commissioning and testing.
* Supervise CAD operators and junior electrical engineers where required.
* Ensure compliance with company procedures and quality assurance systems.
Requirements
* Proven experience in electrical engineering within water/wastewater projects.
* Strong technical knowledge of LV systems, MCCs, control panels, and related electrical equipment.
* Experience preparing specifications, technical documentation, and coordinating sub-contractors.
* Contractor or design & build project experience desirable.
