Summary
A unique chance has arisen to be at the forefront of our brand-new nursery within Longton Primary and Nursery School. We are seeking a dynamic, creative, and dedicated Level 3 qualified Early Years Practitioner to establish and lead our nursery room. This role offers you the chance to shape the environment where young children can thrive, develop, and transition smoothly into their next stage of learning. You will be responsible for planning and mapping out engaging learning opportunities each week, ensuring that children are nurtured across all areas of development and are well-prepared for their move into the reception class. This is an exciting opportunity to lead, inspire, and make a real difference in early childhood education.
We want the very best person to join our team. To entice the best candidates this post is being advertised as a Permanent position. As with all positions within the local authority the post is subject to a probationary period. Please note that the salary quoted is full-time equivalent, and the actual salary will be pro-rata if part-time.

This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro –rata basis.

Essential Qualifications
* Level 3 Early Years qualification (full and relevant as defined by the DfE).
* GCSE English and Maths at grade c or above or equivalent
Desirable Qualifications

* Paediatric First Aid qualification.
Training in SEND/support for additional needs.
Essential Experience
* Experience working within an early years setting.
* Ability to plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Commitment to inclusive practice and supporting all children's development.
* Reflective, enthusiastic, and reliable professional attitude.
* Knowledge of the EYFS framework and statutory requirements
Desirable Experience
* Experience of working within a school-based pre-school or nursery.
* Experience supporting children with additional needs.
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
