About the role
In your role as Python Application Developer you will make a meaningful and valued contribution from the outset. This role will provide a great opportunity to enhance an internally developed application used to monitor and analyse our financed carbon emissions. The application is a very high-profile tool to be used by analysts, portfolio managers and executives across the fund, supporting the scheme in achieving our 2050 Net Zero ambition. The role will work closely with front office professionals to meet user requirements.
What you will be doing
As a trusted part of the Operations you will be responsible for:
•Expanding functionality and components at both an asset and portfolio level.
•Improving application UX.
•Expanding data visualisation capabilities.
•Building components to support data governance and auditability.
•Working closely with front office staff to meet defined user requirements.
About you

To be successful in the role you will have:
•Experience building performant applications and user interfaces for data intensive applications within a financial institution.
•Advanced Python engineering skills including traditional data stack (pandas, numpy, etc.), object-oriented programming (OOP) and experience of Flask or Dash frameworks.
•Basic understanding of HTML and CSS for UI layout.
