The job focuses on developing and providing HR data, insight, and advice to support evidence-based decision-making, as well as analysing and interpreting key performance indicators. The role also involves assisting in the management of employee records, generating reports, and supporting system management. Reporting Relationships The jobholder will be reporting to the HR Manager and will also be required to establish and maintain positive working relationships with the HR Team, and colleagues and managers across the organisation. What you will be doing: Responsibilities Develop and provide regular and ad hoc reporting, templates, dashboards, and metrics to the business to facilitate and inform processes and decision-making, or in response to queries (including Freedom of Information requests). Customers may include HR, the wider business, governing/ regulatory bodies, and the public. Provide analysis, interpretation and insight to support management of KPIs, including vacancies, absence, survey results, turnover, exit feedback, and maintaining the staff establishment list. To continually seek ways to improve accuracy, processes, insight and interpretation of data, and to communicate the stories behind the data to colleagues and leaders. To collaborate with the wider HR Team to offer analytical support where needed. Assist the Payroll and Systems Manager with the development of robust systems for workforce planning, monitoring employee utilisation and controlling costs. Provide assistance and cover for Payroll processes as and when required. HR database, records and reporting Assist in the management of employee records in line with Data Protection and retention schedule requirements. Generate reports and support reconciliation of pay elements from Payroll system. Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested from time to time by the Human Resources Manager. System management To have full proficiency in the HR system so that tasks can be delivered in the absence of other members of the team, or to support colleagues with systems queries. Ensure records are accurate and up to date. Raise any systems issues with provider and follow up for resolution. Communication and collaboration Role model the SIAs values and behaviours. Work closely with the HR Manager and others to develop meaningful management information packs. Personal responsibility To develop a deep understanding of managers business priorities and challenges, and work with them to support the delivery of projects and priority activities as required. Experience of HR and Payroll systems and technologies, and producing high quality insight and reporting, ideally in a HR environment Good working knowledge of SharePoint, and the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Microsoft Excel Numerate and analytical, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to present data and insight in an engaging and meaningful way. Previous experience of working in a HR team, where creativity and innovation was encouraged. Proven knowledge and experience gained in a Payroll and HR systems environment.
