Job Description:
THE ROLE
Join BBC Studios as a Commercial Rights & Business Affairs Executive, where you'll provide legal expertise, support, and negotiation skills across various projects, collaborating within different teams in the organization.
Main Responsibilities:
* Drafting, negotiating, and managing contracts for productions and development agreements.
* Advising on contract terms, foreign productions, employment of foreign artists, copyright clearance, and contributor fees.
* Ensuring rights are acquired for primary and secondary program exploitation.
* Collaborating with various departments and acting as a trusted advisor.
* Building and maintaining relationships internally and externally.
* Ensuring policies and standards are followed and deals are compliant across BBC.
* Mitigating legal, contractual, and IP risks, and managing brand protection.
* Managing contractual documentation and records using appropriate software.
WHAT DOES IT TAKE?
KEY CRITERIA
* Experience in contract negotiation.
* Business-oriented and commercially aware approach.
* Proven ability to manage projects to deadlines.
* Ability to analyze and summarize complex data.
* Interest and knowledge in broadcasting and media trends.
DESIRABLE:
* Experience in business affairs within TV, radio, or digital media.
* Legal qualifications are advantageous but not essential.

PACKAGE DETAILS
Band C, salary between £28,000-£44,000, plus London Weighting Allowance of £5319. Location: London, Television Centre. Contract: Permanent. Hybrid working model.
