English Teacher – Bexley
Words have power, and so does great teaching! We are looking for an enthusiastic English Teacher to join a thriving and modern secondary school in Bexley, inspiring students across KS3-KS5. Whether it’s exploring classic literature, crafting persuasive arguments, or unlocking the magic of storytelling, this role is all about engaging young minds and fostering a love for language.
Contract: Full time, long term – September 2025 start
Salary: £162 - £223 per day
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and interactive English lessons that spark curiosity and creativity.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where students feel confident expressing themselves.
* Test students and assess their progress through marking and feedback.
* Support students in developing strong communication, analytical, and writing skills.
* Bring literature to life through discussions, debates, and creative projects.
* Work closely with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and create exciting learning experiences.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
* Strong subject knowledge in English language and literature.
* Experience teaching KS3-KS5 students.
* Ability to motivate and engage students in both theoretical and practical lessons.
* Enthusiasm for extracurricular activities and school-wide events.
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
