Maintenance Operative (Temporary)
Location: Brighton
Contract: Temporary (8 - 12 weeks)
Hours: Monday, Wednesday & Friday 10.00am – 3.30pm
Pay: £13.50 per hour (weekly pay)
We are recruiting a Temporary Maintenance Operative to support a busy student accommodation site in Brighton. This is a hands-on role supporting general repairs and day-to-day upkeep, helping to keep the property safe, tidy and fully operational.
The role
* Carry out day-to-day repairs and minor maintenance tasks
* Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests
* Complete basic plumbing, electrical and joinery tasks (within skillset)
* Maintain strong health & safety standards across the property
* Support the on-site team with setup tasks and occasional urgent works
Skills & experience
* Previous maintenance, caretaker or handyman experience is essential
* Confident using basic tools and completing general repairs independently
* Reliable, proactive and able to work on your own initiative
* Health & safety aware with a customer-focused approach
* Available for an immediate start and short-term assignment
