Carpenters Required
Location: Warfield, Berkshire
Job Overview
We are seeking skilled Carpenters to join a site near Warfield. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and construction, this role requires proficiency in using both power and hand tools, as well as a solid understanding of building codes and safety regulations. The Carpenter will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and other materials.
Duties
* Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and other materials.
* Use power tools such as saws, drills, and sanders to complete tasks efficiently.
* Execute heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to proper lifting techniques.
* Employ hand tools for precise measurements and adjustments.
* Conduct electrical work when required for specific projects.
* Engage in joinery tasks to create strong connections between different materials.
* Ensure all work is plumb, level, and square according to project requirements.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role in the construction industry.
* Proficiency in using both power tools and hand tools effectively.
* Knowledge of masonry techniques is advantageous.
* Ability to fabricate custom pieces with attention to detail.
* Experience with roofing systems is preferred.
* Capability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) safely.
* Understanding of basic electrical systems is a plus.
* Strong skills in joinery techniques for assembling structures accurately.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
