Tree Surgeon & Instructor (0.6 FTE), Enfield
An exciting opportunity has arisen at a beautiful environmental specialist college. We are seeking to appoint a part-time Tree Surgeon and Instructor.
The post holder will work closely with the college gardens team to maintain high standards of tree management within the college woodlands, farm, and arboretum. Additionally, the successful candidate will provide instruction to students on our Arboriculture courses, teaching hands-on skills such as operating machinery, tree surgery, and maintenance.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the arboriculture industry and possess at least a Level 3 Diploma in Arboriculture and Forestry or equivalent. Relevant industrial tickets such as tree felling and processing, chainsaw maintenance and cross-cutting, and tree climbing and aerial rescue are required. The candidate should be comfortable demonstrating practical skills to learners of varying abilities, including tree felling, climbing, rigging, chainsaw use, wood chipping, pruning, and other practical tree work skills.
This role is suitable for an experienced arborist seeking a new direction and who can inspire the next generation. Support will be provided to become a NPTC assessor and LANTRA instructor, and to stay updated with industry techniques.
