We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Tool Stores Operative, seeking a proactive and driven individual eager to learn and grow within our business. No prior experience is necessary; however, experience in a similar environment would be advantageous.
As a Tool Stores Operative, your responsibilities will include providing tool deliveries to the production floor according to the production plan (using MES software), locating tools, preparing production paperwork and mould packs, and following all site procedures and policies to ensure health and safety compliance.
This role can be physically demanding and involves the use of cranes and PPT equipment. Full training and certification will be provided.
You will report to the manufacturing department management and collaborate closely with the production operational teams and tool room team to meet all tool requirements.
This is a fast-paced, busy environment where organization and communication are key to success.
The role operates on a continental day shift pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off, from 7 am to 7 pm, with overtime opportunities.
Typical Responsibilities:
1. Transport tools to the production floor with the relevant paperwork and mould packs, aligned with the production schedule.
2. Safely return tools to the store, place them correctly, and record all movements per procedures.
3. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the tool stores and surrounding areas.
4. Ensure quality standards are met with a 'right first time' approach.
5. Follow all site rules, regulations, and health and safety policies.
6. Perform any other reasonable tasks as required.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Teams.
* Good numeracy skills.
* Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
* Good command of English.
* Experience in a similar or warehouse role.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* GCSEs or equivalent qualifications.
* Knowledge of BPCS (desirable).
* Working knowledge of PPTs (A1) and cranes (desirable).
* Experience in a warehouse stores environment and with part-making tools and machines (desirable).
