Take the lead on electrical design for some of the UKs most high-profile building projects, while shaping your path to Associate Director.
Youll be heading up the design of major landmark buildings - skyscrapers, stadia, hospitals and events centres - while working directly with top developers and influencing projects from the very start.
Theres more control, less churn and far fewer of the pressures that come from contractor-side delivery. Youll guide the design development, make key decisions and enjoy hybrid working that actually works three days in the vibrant Manchester studio and two days from home.
On top of that, youll have a clear route to Associate Director, working closely with the board and taking on more leadership and strategic responsibility as you go. Its a genuine career step, not just a title bump.
And when it comes to sustainability, youll behelping clients achieve net zero, shaping how major projects respond to net zero legislation.
What youll do
Leading the electrical design on high-profile MEP projects, youll take ownership from early-stage concept through to handover. Youll be meeting with clients to shape the brief, working with developers and architects, writing specs and choosing equipment that delivers both performance and sustainability.
Youll run design team meetings, guide outputs and mentor junior engineers - sharing your knowledge while helping them improve.
What youll need
At least 15 years experience in electrical design for building services
Multi-sector experience, covering commercial, healthcare, sports and cultural buildings
Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide others and present ideas clearly
