Your new role
Reporting directly to the Technical Director, your role is pivotal. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
You’ll contribute to the vessel design, ensuring it meets our ambitious goals. Using CATIA V6, you’ll create innovative 3D designs forponents and assemblies. Your designs will undergo rigorous verification, including FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and hand calculations. Collaborating with the Structural Engineering and Naval Architecture departments, you’ll be part of a dynamic team. Regulatorypliance is essential, ensuring that our structural deliverables meet all appropriate regulations.
What you'll need to succeed
To prove successful in securing this role, you should being with a university Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (2:1 Hons or above). A minimum of 3 years in marine, automotive, motorsport, or aerospace environments. Structural Mechanics Expertise - you’ll have an in-depth understanding of first principles and analytical problem-solving skills. FEA Proficiency - Finite Element Analysis should ideally be second nature to you.
