Sales (Support) Engineer

Overview
Combining some of the qualities of both a data analyst and software engineer, as a Sales and Partnerships Support Engineer, you will provide technical support to SuperAwesome’s sellers, business development, and account management teams to help build one-off or prototype tools to rapidly demonstrate value in client and partner engagements.
You will be an expert in the technical aspects of SuperAwesome’s software products and data estate, knowing how and where to source and process data to address their needs, and being able to autonomously use that data to offer supporting technical artefacts such as visualisations and dashboards.
Specific Responsibilities
* Provide on-demand technical assistance to Sales, Ad Operations/Yield Management, Business Development, and Account Management in the field. This includes hypothesis testing, data extraction, troubleshooting, data visualisation, and prototyping bespoke functionality.
* Work closely with Product Managers to prototype and explore new ideas and to implement emerging requirements that may lead to new product functionalities.
* Collaborate with product and data engineering teams and data science to understand product workings, ensure integration without compromising integrity, and access data estate.
Required Experience
* Background in digital marketing and advertising industry with understanding of programmatic advertising ecosystem.
* Experience working with commercial functions as a sales engineer, support engineer, or technical professional services.
* Experience managing ad-hoc, time-constrained service demands from stakeholders.
* Proficiency with SQL, scripting languages (preferably Python or TypeScript), web-scraping tools, cloud environments (AWS or GCP), and use of AI tools for data analysis.
Key Skills
* Curiosity about client problems and understanding of advertising solutions.
* Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
* Self-motivated with effective prioritisation in complex environments.
* Strong SQL skills and scripting in Python or TypeScript.
* Ability to collaborate with product engineers to meet requirements without compromising product integrity.
* Ability to operate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
