Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a HSEQ Manager. The role will be responsible for monitoring Health, Safety and Environmental performance, reporting on trend analysis, incidents, investigation findings, lessons learnt, highlighting deficiencies within the Safety Management System, and providing solutions and best practices for implementation.
Location: Rainham
Hours: 40 hours per week (Sunday to Friday, 10pm - 6am)
Responsibilities – But Not Limited To
* Writing clear, concise reports, procedures, and guidance documents.
* Owning procedures and guidance documents, updating them to reflect best practices and legal requirements.
* Developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance.
* Collaborating on the development of processes and procedures.
* Applying technical knowledge to observe, inspect, and audit for strengths and weaknesses.
* Conducting audits and inspections to ensure effective implementation of HSEQ systems.
* Leading teams to identify causes of weaknesses and implementing improvements.
* Initiating projects to enhance performance.
* Leading investigations into incidents, determining root causes, and preventing recurrence.
* Staying updated on legislation and best practices, and communicating implications.
* Providing detailed HSEQ training to staff.
* Determining HSEQ competencies required by operational teams.
Experience And Qualifications Required
* Minimum of 5 years in a HSEQ Management role.
* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent, Environmental or Training Qualification.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Strong understanding of Utilities and HSEQ in contracting contexts.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
