Responsibilities
* Deliver care to older adults in line with Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership policies and procedures.
* Assist residents with personal, health and social care while respecting their dignity and promoting maximum independence.
* Support Social Care Assistants in their roles and be able to work on your own initiative; be flexible and adaptable with the capacity to learn.
* Receive support from senior staff with opportunities and training to develop knowledge and skills.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Previous experience of working with older people and understanding their needs.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills; literacy skills; professional and courteous manner to residents, relatives, carers, health professionals and other agencies.
* Hold or have the capacity to achieve an SVQ Level 3 in Care or equivalent.
* Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council or achieve registration within 6 months of taking up employment.
* Ability to work shifts, including weekends, on a rota basis.
