Are you an enthusiastic, compassionate and innovative Clinical Psychologist looking for an exciting and rewarding role? We have a fantastic opportunity to work across our neurodevelopment and child learning disability services in North Wales. This is an 8A post, but we would welcome applicants who are looking for a B7 to 8A development opportunity. You will work in two well-established, supportive and diverse teams. Your ability to provide specialist psychological input to assessments and interventions will be highly valued, with opportunities for consultation, training, and service development. Depending on experience, you may contribute to supervision of colleagues, including assistant psychologists. Our teams have close links with CAMHS and other multiagency partners, offering opportunities to think creatively about how to meet the needs of children, young people and families. We are committed to co-production of services and improving access to psychological interventions for all children and young people. This post is part of a vibrant wider Child Psychology team where quality improvement, research, supervision and continued professional development are highly valued. We have an excellent relationship with the North Wales Clinical Psychology Programme and provide teaching and research opportunities alongside training placements.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will undertake a range of assessments and deliver appropriate therapeutic interventions, alongside some Care Co-ordination. They will promote psychological thinking and formulation within a multidisciplinary team and provide consultation to multi-agency professionals and families. Supervision of others, delivery of training, leadership and service development will also form an integral part of this development role. We are looking for a qualified Clinical Psychologist who has relevant experience and can evidence their commitment to clinical quality, evidence-based practice and maintaining high professional standards for themselves and others. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Essential Criteria (Knowledge)
* Skills in the supervision of Trainee Clinical Psychologists, through attending the University of Wales Clinical Psychology Programme “Preparation for Placement” training
* The ability to work collaboratively with a range of multidisciplinary colleagues
Qualifications
* Honours Degree in Psychology
* Eligibility for Graduate membership of the British Psychological Society
* Post-graduate Doctoral qualification in Clinical Psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996 or for those trained overseas), as accredited by the British Psychological Society
* Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council
Desirable criteria
* Pre-qualification training and qualifications in research methodology, staff training and/or other fields of applied psychology
Experience
Essential criteria
* Assessed experience of working as a qualified clinical psychologist, normally including significant post-qualification experience within the designated speciality where the post is located, or relevant transferable skills
* Demonstration of further specialist training / experience through having received extensive and demonstrable clinical supervision of working as a clinical psychologist or an alternative agreed by the Head of Clinical Psychology Services
