The role: RELIABILITY ENGINEER
Monitor and analyse data trends across fleets to identify systemic issues and manage the solutioning and remedial process.
What you’ll do:
* Monitoring and compiling data to show trends in aircraft reliability at a fleet level, including repetitive defects data, component removals, delays and cancellations, pilot reporting and MEL usage.
* Monitor the performance of the Aircraft Maintenance Programme and identify opportunities for programme optimisation and maintenance burden reduction
* Analysis of data to identify indicators of systemic issues that affect fleet-wide reliability or emerging negative trends.
* Provide analysis to support investigations underway that are led by Technical Engineers.
* Provides primary input to fleet reliability meetings and ensures the meetings effectiveness.
* Perform data manipulation, cleaning, standardisation etc. as necessary to enable analysis to take place.
* Ensuring compliance with Engineering Policy, Statutory Airworthiness requirements, Safety Standards, Company Standing Instructions and Health and Safety Legislation.
* Support initiatives of fleet performance to align with BA goals and standards.
* Provides onsite specialist technical support as required with due regard for safety/technical regulatory and commercial requirements.
What you’ll bring to British Airways:
* Engineering apprenticeship / HNC/D / degree (Essential)
* Aerospace Engineering Part 66 licence / degree (Desirable)
* Knowledge of technical reliability and condition monitoring tools and processes. (Essential)
* Knowledge of regulations including EASA Part M, Part 145 and Part 21 (Desirable)
* Knowledge of company processes and procedures (Desirable)
* Applicable to the work environment & people (Desirable)
* Knowledge of at least one aircraft, engine, product type design, mechanical & electrical systems, structures and materials (Desirable)
