OTDS is a manufacturer of E HOUSES used in the UK renewable sector, suppling DNO, IDNO and EPCs.
Due to increased demand form our UK clients we are hiring an electrical engineer position.
The role will be directly involved with the production and deilvery of our E HOUSES and switchgear, including the below.
* Full turn key delivery of projects from tender stage to FAT.
* Electrical design activities for installation, design of medium voltage 11 and 33kv switchgear.
* Produce substation layouts, SLD preparation, wiring schematics, cable sizing calculations, earthing layouts, protection scheme development & cable containment etc.
* Selecting and design of ancillary equipment. Working with subcontractors for the installation of HVAC, fire alarm and fire fighting systems, lighting and auxialiry services.
* Hands on with our growning production team on the production of our E HOUSES.
* Evaluating technical specifications in the tender documentation packages and reviewing risks and implications of the requirements
* Providing engineering and technical expertise and guidance in identifying, analysing and resolving project challenges
* Liaising with clients, representing the company in a presentable and professional manner and exploring further opportunities for ongoing work
* Supporting new business activities and growth and development opportunities
* Share any service issues and propose and implement improvement strategies, sharing these through regular progress meetings and weekly reports
* Support of sales and purchasing with technical descriptions and datasheet validation, generation of BOM
* Share company information and communications with customers, partners and staff as agreed with the Management Team
About You:
* Formal qualification and experience in electrical engineering, mainly up to 36kV
* Previous experience with other MV panel manufacturers such as Schneider, ABB, Siemens.
* Knowledge of medium voltage switchgear, relays, ct/vts is preferred.
* Background of factory production processes.
* You have some experience of managing budgets and forecasting expenditure
* You have strong project management and organisational skills
* You're an effective communicator, with strong influencing and negotiating skills, able to build and maintain key client relationships.
