Full-time Permanent appointment An exciting opportunity has arisen within LSTM to join our Information Services department as a Research Support Assistant. This specialist library role reports to our Senior Information Systems Manager. Your primary role will be to coordinate LSTM’s Institutional Repository, ensuring that new publications and other outputs are uploaded within strict deadlines, and that associated metadata is accurate. The purpose behind this role is to ensure LSTM meets external requirements, for example, open access compliance targets for the Research Excellence Framework (REF) and other major funders. This role is essential in ensuring that LSTM retains its funding. Your role will also support the Senior Information Systems Manager with appropriate aspects of the library catalogue and acquisition processes. Dealing with multiple organisations and internal users, you will liaise with publishers; researchers and contribute to working groups. Your knowledge and skills will also help in the preparation and contribution to IS projects, and you will be able to develop key information datasets, produce summary reports and information for key decision makers.
