Business Development Manager

Are you a commercially driven individual with experience in the mechanical or pump engineering sector? We’re hiring a dynamic Business Development Manager to join our team and help grow our customer base across the UK.
Working with a valued client who is focused on expanding their footprint in the engineering and industrial services sectors. While a background in mechanical or pump-related services is preferred, we welcome applications from candidates with strong commercial experience in facilities or technical services who can quickly grasp our solutions and deliver value to clients.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement targeted business development strategies to drive revenue and market growth

Identify, research and pursue new business opportunities through industry networking, cold outreach and tender portals
*
Build and maintain lasting relationships with existing and prospective clients
*
Conduct technical presentations and site-based meetings with stakeholders
*
Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, operations, procurement) to align on project requirements
*
Monitor competitor activity and market trends to position our services effectively
*
Lead or support tender submissions, particularly with public and regulated sectors
*
Represent the company at trade shows, events and industry forums
What We're Looking For
*
Proven experience in business development or sales, ideally within engineering, industrial services, or pumps/mechanical systems
*
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels
*
Excellent negotiation and closing ability
*
Comfortable working autonomously while also collaborating with internal teams
*
Experience with public sector frameworks or tender submissions is highly advantageous
*
Willingness to travel regionally as required
