What you’ll be doing
as a Customer Water Quality Officer
1. You’ll be on the move a lot, travelling between different customers and sites, working as part of a lively team covering quite a large area.
2. Driving as part of the job would be highly desirable.
3. Your main job will be testing water samples in domestic homes and businesses.
4. You’ll oversee the management of your sampling records and maintenance of sampling equipment, ensuring they are kept to industry standards.
5. You might also assist with investigating supply issues or customer complaints now and again.
Your base location will be in West London either at our depot in Hammersmith or Walton.
Standard working hours are 7:30am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday.
When needed you will be on a standby rota for which you receive an additional payment. This would be up to 2 weekends in every 7 weeks, and would include evenings and weekends.
What you should bring to the role
6. We need someone who’s done a bit of driving and is confident in a medium size vehicle in busy areas with high volume of traffic.
7. You will have a customer-facing experience, and you will need to be comfortable visiting domestic houses and businesses.
8. You must have a clean manual driving licence.
9. Good at planning your routes, are organised and happy to set up your day and work by yourself.
10. It’s a plus if you already know a bit about the water industry, but if not, this is a fantastic opportunity to learn.
11. Good computer literacy and attention to detail as this is a technical role that requires you to follow detailed procedures.
