Are you passionate about cutting-edge technology and motivated to find innovative solutions to complex challenges? Join BAE Systems as a DevOps Engineer.
As a DevOps Engineer, you bridge development, testing, network/infrastructure, operations, and system administration to facilitate efficient, continuous, and high-quality software delivery. Your role involves implementing processes and tooling that enable software engineers to turn source code into installation media or configured environments.
You should possess skills in coding or scripting, process reengineering, and excellent teamwork and communication. A broad knowledge of software development and deployment is essential.
You will work in a multidisciplinary team requiring a wide range of technical and soft skills to implement sound DevOps practices and deliver value quickly and continuously. These skills include:
-Automation skills: Designing, building, and maintaining automation solutions for building, testing, deploying applications and infrastructure, including CI, CD, orchestration, workload automation, cloud management, and configuration management.
-Human skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and flexibility.
-Technical skills: Experience with cloud platforms, operating systems, programming languages, containerization, application technologies, databases, legacy infrastructures, and multi-discipline enabling skills.
-IT Operations, Security, Application Development & Delivery, Architecture, and understanding of processes and frameworks like Agile, Scrum, and SRE.
