Job Overview
This 10-session inpatient and outpatient post is based at Inverclyde Royal Hospital (inpatients) and Crown House, Greenock (outpatients). The shift pattern is 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday, plus an on‑call rota.
The successful applicant will support the career progression of trainees and contribute to the departmental teaching program.
Responsibilities
* Provide clinical care to inpatients and outpatient services.
* Manage caseloads and coordinate with consultants, GP, foundation and core trainees.
* Participate in local division group meetings and collaborate with sub‑specialty colleagues.
* Engage in Core Supporting Professional Activity (SPA) including CPD, audit, clinical governance, appraisal, revalidation, job planning and management meetings.
* Potentially undertake up to 2 EPA sessions for additional outpatient or procedural work and management activity.
Qualifications
* Full GMC registration, licence to practise and eligibility to be included on the GMC Specialist Register.
* UK‑trained doctors with evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT, or within 6 months of confirmed entry; CESR route doctors only eligible after CESR is awarded; non‑UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.
* Willingness to work full‑time 10‑PA basis, but open to less‑than‑full‑time applicants.
