As a Care Coordinator you will be working alongside our Registered Manager in Leeds, and receive support from the office team. You will also provide physical and emotional support to individuals while supervising teams of care assistants over a 37.5 hour week with some weekend requirements.
Working closely with the Registered Manager to coordinate the growth and development of a high-quality domiciliary care service for older people in the local area.
Key responsibilities of a Care Coordinator
* Networking in the local community to raise awareness of the service.
* Promoting the highest standards of care and service.
* Recruiting and training Care Professionals.
* Converting new client enquiries and coordinating staffing rotas.
* Care planning and conducting risk assessments ensuring compliance to relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
* Managing a team, making sure that exceptional service is delivered to our clients and workloads are managed accordingly.
* To promote good communication by means of employee meetings, written and verbal reports and encourage openness at all levels.
* Ensure mandatory training requirements are met, checking the training matrix to ensure all staff are trained.
* Ensure rotas are covered in advance where possible and all care calls are made in accordance with client and carer rotas.
* Potentially working between branches.

To be successful, you will:
* Have care experience with excellent customer service skills.

* Have the drive and motivation to take on a broad role and develop our care services.
* Be able to work well and accurately under pressure whilst working independently with minimal supervision.
* Be flexible to meet the demands of the business including participating in an on-call rota.
* Possess a minimum qualification of NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care is desirable or willing to work towards it.
Due to the need to support the On-Call function, this Care Coordinator role may require you to support team members out in the field in emergency situations, and the requirement to travel throughout the community to conduct new client assessments, for which you must have a driving licence and access to a vehicle.
