About the Role
As Export Control Lead, you'll be the go-to authority on US export controls ITAR, EAR, OFAC while also contributing to UK export compliance. You'll work directly with strategic programmes, advising on everything from bid-stage requirements to operational licence management. Your role will be critical to ensuring seamless trade operations and compliance across multiple international jurisdictions, including UK and US defence exports.
This isnt just a desk job. Youll liaise with key internal teams and external stakeholders, support audits, and play a leading role in shaping robust export procedures that can withstand the scrutiny of the worlds strictest regulators.

What youll be doing
Leading the charge on all US export compliance matters
Advising project and bid teams on jurisdiction and classification
Coordinating export licence applications (US & UK) and managing supporting documentation
Performing internal compliance checks and restricted party screenings
Supporting international offices and contributing to global export control strategy
Managing key UK security processes
Assisting with audits and maintaining meticulous compliance records
What you bring
Proven expertise in export compliance especially with US regulations (ITAR, EAR, OFAC)
Experience interpreting and applying international trade laws
Strong communicator who can simplify complex legal language for a wide audience
Detail-obsessed with a flair for managing intricate documentation and multiple systems
