Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Activities Co-ordinator to join our team in a care home setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing engaging and meaningful activities for residents in assisted living, dementia care, and nursing home environments.
Duties
- Plan, organise, and oversee a variety of recreational activities for senior residents
- Develop and implement activity programmes that cater to the diverse needs and interests of residents
- Coordinate events, and entertainment within the care home
- Collaborate with care staff to ensure activities are tailored to individual resident needs
- Maintain accurate records of activities and resident participation
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to promote engagement
Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role within a care home or assisted living facility is essential
- Knowledge of dementia care and senior activities is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and colleagues
- Ability to plan and execute engaging activities that enhance the quality of life for senior residents
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 14 – 21 per week
