About the role We are currently seeking reliable and motivated Domestic Assistants to join our Facilities team at Pinderfields Hospital. We have multiple part-time positions available, with shifts across weekdays and weekends. What We Offer Flexible part-time shifts (Monday to Friday and weekends) Uniforms, full training and ongoing support Opportunities for development and internal progression A supportive and inclusive work environment Access to NHS staff benefits including pension scheme, discounts, and more Main duties Not limited to and dependent on working location:- Mopping, scrubbing, buffing of floors, shampooing of carpets, vacuuming Damp dusting fixtures and fittings Cleaning of sanitary areas (toilets and bathrooms) Cleaning of ward kitchens and kitchen equipment Assist with the service of meals to patients, i.e., serving beverages and collecting in dirty crockery after meals Washing up of jugs Disposal and segregation of refuse Removal of dirty linen to disposal room Changing of beds and cubicle curtains in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines and procedures Bed making in residences Cleaning of rooms/bed areas following an outbreak of infection Key requirements We are looking for individuals who are: Punctual, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards Able to work independently and as part of a team Aware of infection control and health & safety practices (training provided) Friendly and professional in approach Good standard of education in English and Maths Experience communicating effectively with individuals at all levels Ability to work well as part of a team across multiple sites Strong understanding of the importance of confidentiality Good awareness of high cleaning standards and hygiene practices Sound knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and procedures Previous experience in a domestic, cleaning, or healthcare environment is desirable but not essential.
