Job Description To lead the development, optimisation, and governance of the organisation’s core HR technology landscape — including MHR (iTrent) and UKG ProWFM — ensuring accurate people data, seamless integrations, robust payroll alignment, and improved insight through analytics. The role will champion digital efficiency, continuous improvement, and exploration of AI-driven opportunities within People Operations. Key Responsibilities 1. Systems Ownership & Governance Lead the end-to-end management of MHR (iTrent) and UKG ProWFM platforms. Oversee system configuration, upgrades, testing cycles, and data structure governance. Maintain system controls, permissions, and auditing to ensure compliance with GDPR and internal policies. Ensure alignment between key stakeholders, including; People, Payroll, Finance, Workforce Planning and IT. 2. Data & Payroll Alignment Own the integrity, consistency, and accuracy of people data across all HR and payroll systems. Work closely with Payroll, Finance, and internal audit to ensure smooth payroll runs across multiple pay groups. Lead process improvement around starters/leavers/changes, workflows, integrations, and data transfers. Design and reports quality checks and exception reporting. 3. Workforce Management (UKG ProWFM) Manage configuration of scheduling, timekeeping, holiday rules, pay rules, and compliance elements. Ensure correct outputs feed into payroll and workforce reporting dashboards. 4. HR Analytics & Reporting Lead the development of People reporting dashboards (Power BI), ensuring data accuracy and insight relevance. Translate People and business requirements into system-driven reporting solutions. Support leadership with trends, forecasting, operational insight and decision-making data. 5. AI & Automation Development Proactively identify opportunities to introduce AI technologies to improve: Data validation Process automation Document generation Service efficiency Work with internal IT/AI teams to test, pilot, and adopt new technologies. 6. Stakeholder Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration Act as the strategic link between HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, Ops and external vendors. Communicate system changes, project updates, and risks clearly to stakeholders. Support training, capability building and user engagement across the organisation. 7. Continuous Improvement & Project Delivery Lead system enhancement roadmaps, upgrades, releases, and new initiatives. Manage acquisition onboarding, organisational structure changes, and integration mapping. Deliver projects on time, with strong change management and benefits realisation. 8. Team Leadership & Development Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and support to the People Systems team, ensuring clear priorities, high performance, and continuous capability growth. Build a culture of ownership, collaboration, and innovation within the team, encouraging skills development across systems, data, analytics, and emerging technologies. Develop cross-skilling plans and structured handover documentation to reduce single-points-of-failure and strengthen long-term resilience within the team.
