SEN Secondary School Teaching Assistant – Bury
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a specialist secondary school in Bury, supporting students with a range of additional needs to access education and achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver 1:1 and small-group support across the curriculum
* Support students with ASD, SEMH, communication needs or learning difficulties
* Promote emotional regulation, engagement and positive behaviour
* Assist with implementing EHCP targets and personalised support plans
* Encourage independence, social skills and confidence
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals
* Maintain safeguarding records, observations and progress notes
Essential Requirements
* Experience supporting children or young people, ideally in SEN or secondary settings
* Calm, consistent and resilient approach
* Full availability Monday–Friday during school hours
* Strong understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
* Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
